Driving Impressions Review – MPP Coilover Conversion kit

For those of you looking to maintain your Tesla Model 3 Performance Highland adaptive suspension and lower at the same time, MPP Coilover conversion kit is the answer! We tested this kit on our own M3P Highland and here are the results!
We’ve had the MPP Coilover Conversion kit on our M3P for over a month now, driven over 1k miles and 1 track day. The car rides wonderfully and still maintain M3P stock adaptive features with standard, sport and track modes. While driving lowered, do not feel the bump stops at all and have not experience any bottom outs, even during tracking.
The 2024 Model 3 Performance Highland cars are actually tuned quite different than the previous generation Model 3 Performances. They are running different sway bars, different springs, different shocks. Previous generation lowering springs just really wasn’t designed for the new M3P Highland. We are glad. MPP took the time to develop this kit and developed custom springs for the highland performance.
The MPP Coilover conversion kit is very quiet, no squeaks or pings on bumps. We’ve installed quite a few springs on the Model 3 highlands already and have heard the creaks and pings on some aftermarket brands of springs already. In an EV, sound and noise issues are difficult to hide and once heard, difficult to ignore. This is why we always recommend clients consider their tolerances for noise issues when choosing the right product for their mods.
Our M3P highland performed amazingly well at Tesla Corsa for track day. To be fair, we do have some other mods on the car: MPP Lower control arm bearings, MPP Front Upper Control arms, MPP MPP Traction, Trailing, Toe, and Camber Arms, MPP Sway bars, MPP Stop-tech Brake kit and 2-piece rear rotors, and MPP Mega Mesh wheels.
We were able to enable track mode and maneuver the corners beautifully. It was impressive that the car handled so well and we weren’t even on a full coilover kit. On our drive home after pushing the car to the max, it was still a smooth and quiet ride like always. All in all, we are quite happy with the MPP Coilover Conversion kit!
We did end up raising our height just a bit and just loved that we had that adjustability! With springs, there’s unfortunately no adjustability and worst yet, they sag over time. We have many clients return to us after a year on springs with sagging rears or corners that had no fix. Instead, they would have to switch to coilovers to even out their ride.
Having an adjustable Spring set and retaining the M3P highland’s stock damping adjustments makes this kit truly the best lowering kit on the market for M3P Highland owners who want to lower their car. Well designed, well made quality product and we are confident it will last much longer and provide much better ride quality than going with a traditional lowering spring set with no adjustability.
